Company Description

Anchorage Digital is a crypto platform that provides institutional clients with services including digital asset custody, staking, trading, and settlement. The company operates Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first crypto bank in the United States to receive a federal charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In addition to its federally regulated bank, the company holds a BitLicense from the New York Department of Financial Services and is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Founded in 2017 by Nathan McCauley and Diogo Mónica, Anchorage Digital is headquartered in San Francisco and has additional offices in South Dakota, New York, Singapore, and Portugal.

The company continues to expand its asset support and institutional partnerships. Recently, Anchorage Digital announced it would provide custody for the XDC token in collaboration with the XDC Network and added support for 18 new digital assets. The company also acts as the custodian for the Rex Shares Sol Staking ETF (SSK), the first U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund for SOL staking. In another partnership with Ethena Labs, Anchorage Digital Bank issued USDtb, a stablecoin backed 1:1 by U.S. dollars. In 2022, the company raised $350 million in a Series D funding round, which brought its valuation to over $3 billion.
