Electric Hydrogen (EH2) manufactures large-scale electrolyzer systems that produce green hydrogen at ultra-low cost. The company's 100MW electrolyzer plants, powered by renewable electricity, can generate nearly 50 tons of fossil-free hydrogen per day to help decarbonize critical industries like fertilizer production, steelmaking, and base chemicals.
EH2 was founded in 2020 by veteran cleantech executives Raffi Garabedian, David Eaglesham, and Derek Warnick, who previously held leadership roles at companies like First Solar. Since then, EH2 has raised over $600 million from investors including Amazon, Honeywell, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and Fortescue. The company is using this capital to rapidly scale up manufacturing at its new 1.2 GW gigafactory in Devens, MA, with plans to begin commercial deliveries of electrolyzers in 2024.
By joining EH2's team of nearly 300 employees, you would have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking electrolyzer technology backed by a well-capitalized company. However, the green hydrogen industry is still nascent, and EH2 will need to execute well to achieve its mission of making green hydrogen cost-competitive with fossil fuels. Key challenges include building a reliable supply chain, ramping up large-scale manufacturing, and convincing industrial customers to switch from grey to green hydrogen.
