Our Next Energy (ONE) is developing innovative battery technology aimed at improving range, safety, and cost for electric vehicles. Their current prototype, Gemini, uses a dual-chemistry design attempting to increase driving range to over 600 miles.

ONE was founded in 2020 by Mujeeb Ijaz, a veteran of the battery industry having led teams at Apple, Ford, and A123 Systems focused on advancing EV battery technology. Recently, ONE brought on additional leadership including former Flex CEO Paul Humphries to lend manufacturing expertise as the company scales production.

ONE recently closed a $300 million Series B round backed by leading investors like Fifth Wall, Franklin Templeton, and BMW i Ventures. The funding comes amid adjustments to ONE's growth plans, including leadership changes and some staff reductions. However, ONE remains strategically committed to pursuing its vision of next-generation EV battery solutions.
